If you’re on this website… you probably need a plumber! Well, from changing a washer to hanging your new radiators, from dealing with leaks (or emergencies!) to complete installations, bear with us. Because we know how important it is to find someone who not only completes even the smallest task to the highest standard… but does so with the utmost respect for your time, your home, and your wallet (or purse)!
We’re based in smack in the middle between Southend, Chelmsford and Basildon and most of our customers live in or around this area. No job is too big or too small for us – we know that we are only as good as our last job and we are proud of the many customers who have been with us for a long time. Now in our second generation of plumbing and heating engineers, our extensive knowledge is combined with good old quality workmanship and an eye for detail… which will always guarantee you a service that is second to none. Have a quick look around our website – and then give us a call!
We say ‘no job too small’… and we actually mean it. We’re not just chasing the big installs but care about keeping your plumbing and heating systems functional, efficient and safe… at a reasonable price… so that your home life hums along nicely without any disruption from plumbing or heating related issues. Our estimates are free and we ask no call-out charge, discounts are available for elderly people (and no, it is not enough to have a few grey hairs).
Whether you call us because of an emergency, a repair, a general upgrade or an alteration, you will be surprised how fast, reliable and tidy we really are.

From a dripping tap that keeps you awake at night to a toilet that won’t behave the way it should, we’re happy to step in and put things right. Leaky showers, faulty taps, worn-out wastes, troublesome sinks, sticking motorised valves or cold water tanks that have seen better days… these are the kinds of everyday problems we deal with. Sometimes a careful repair does the trick, sometimes a sensible replacement is the better option - either way, we’ll explain things clearly and sort it without unnecessary fuss.

Whether you’re updating a tired bathroom or finally getting around to fitting that designer radiator you’ve had your eye on, we’re here to help make it happen. From standard radiators and towel warmers to complete bathroom plumbing and new fixtures, we’ll make sure everything is fitted properly and works exactly as it should. Good preparation, careful installation and a tidy finish mean you can simply enjoy the result… without worrying about what’s going on behind the walls or under the floor.

Sometimes the problem isn’t something obvious leaking or broken… it’s the little signs that something isn’t quite right. A room that never seems to warm up properly, a radiator that’s too hot while another barely gets going, or heating that just doesn’t feel as comfortable as it should. We can help by balancing your heating system, fitting or adjusting thermostats and installing or replacing thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) so you have better control over the heat in each room.

Sometimes you know something isn’t right… but it’s not immediately obvious where the problem actually is. A mysterious leak, a slow drain, a damp patch appearing where it shouldn’t, or water not flowing the way it used to. This is where a bit of careful investigation helps. We can trace leaks, identify blockages and track down the cause of plumbing issues before they turn into something more serious — and once we’ve found the problem, we’ll talk you through the best way to put it right.
Powerflushing has been around for years but still often does not get the attention it deserves. Many people worry about the rising cost of heating, or the prospect of a potential boiler breakdown in the future – but don’t realise that an inefficient system is a costly one!
Boilers overheating water to compensate for those dead areas on the radiators and pumps having to slog to send water around the system will, naturally, consume more power. And, of course, the working life of components is reduced, bringing forward the need to spend on replacement – both materials and labour. Â
A powerflush can work wonders: with up to 12 pounds of black sludge and additional harmful limescale removed from your heating system, radiators will warm up quicker, boiler noise will be cured and anywhere up to an incredible 25% could be saved from your next gas bill.

Did you know? Over time, most heating systems slowly build up sludge inside the pipes and radiators. Unfortunately deterioration begins as soon as a new heating system is installed and filled with water. The combined effects of air, lime scale, a mixture of metals, and debris in the water, can cause internal corrosion of the system, this creates a sludge which forms in the lower flow areas and clogs up the boiler and heat exchangers.

Is your boiler noisy? The usual 'kettling' is caused by sludge and scale that builds up within the boiler heat exchanger. If radiators are cold at the top, it could be a build-up of hydrogen gas, which is a by-product of any corrosion occurring in the system. Cold spots at the bottom of the radiators are often a symptom of a build-up of magnetite sludge. Repeated pump failures, inconsistent or no hot water and a tripping boiler are further signs of a system in need of a powerflush.

Professional powerflushing equipment moves water plus cleaning chemical through the entire heating system, lifting and removing sludge, debris and limescale deposits in its wake. It utilises the velocity of the water and NOT pressure - thereby making the process not only ultra-fast, but also ultra-safe for all heating systems regardless of their age. After powerflushing, adding inhibitor and fitting magnetic filters prevents most of the effects of future breakdown for a very long time (5 years+).
With the current economic situation, it is only too understandable that many people try and save money wherever possible and plumbing and heating jobs are no exception.Â
However, nowadays many plumbing fittings are designed for specific purposes and therefore some taps, shower mixers, pumps and electric showers – just to name a few – may not handle all situations. To avoid buying or using anything that might be incompatible we advise you to give us a call before you go ahead – it could save you money, headache, and it some cases even your property!
Likewise, it might be tempting to ‘have a go’ at fitting that shower screen or that extra radiator yourself. As professionals, we strongly advise against that.
Plumbing and heating systems are often more interconnected than they appear, and even small changes can affect water pressure, drainage or how the rest of the system performs.
Something that seems like a simple job can quickly turn into a leak behind a wall, a radiator that never quite heats properly, or fittings that don’t seal the way they should. And unfortunately, water has a habit of finding the smallest gaps and causing damage long before the problem becomes visible.
If you’re ever unsure, we’re always happy to offer a bit of advice before you start. Sometimes it really is a quick fix you can do yourself… and sometimes it’s the kind of job where getting it done professionally will save you time, money and a fair bit of frustration later on.
If we don’t pick up straight away, it usually means we’re with a customer or in the middle of a job. Please leave a message and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can. Alternatively, there’s a form you can fill in at the bottom of the page – please feel free to use it to get a quote (if you roughly know what needs doing).
